Java Linen Diffused Light/Pearl

Idyllic Fabrics FabricHAF0567-03

Java Linen Diffused Light/Pearl pairs a soft pearl ground with finely drawn taupe scrolling ornament. The pale colourway keeps the repeating damask pattern airy, while the low-contrast lines add definition up close.

About this fabric

The fabric shows symmetrical medallions, curling foliage and slender lattice lines arranged in a regular vertical repeat, with muted taupe-grey detail against pearl. Its 31cm vertical and 32cm horizontal pattern repeats give the motif a measured, medium-scale presence. At 433gsm and 85 threads per cm, it has a substantial textile specification suited to upholstery, with a 127.5cm usable width. The closely drawn ornament reads softly rather than sharply in this Diffused Light/Pearl colourway, creating a restrained, lightly aged effect.

How to use it

Use this pearl-and-taupe colourway on a structured armchair, dining chair or headboard where its pale ground can brighten the setting without losing the formality of the scrolling pattern. Pair it with chalky neutrals, warm timber and understated taupe accents.

A refined pearl ground and soft taupe ornament suit tailored upholstery in calm, light-toned rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
