About this fabric

Finmere Red from the Pelham collection by Colefax and Fowler is a textile fabric with a small repeat measuring approximately V 3cm / H 3cm. The 138cm-wide cloth is composed of 40% viscose, 38% cotton, 16% linen and 6% polyester, giving the surface a dry, woven handle rather than a smooth flat finish. In this colourway the red reads as muted brick and terracotta, softened by beige ground tones so the pattern feels aged and understated rather than bright. The regular little motif creates a smart, structured effect that suits a room needing pattern without strong contrast.

How to use it

Use Finmere Red on an upholstered chair, bench or ottoman where the compact geometric can be appreciated up close. It also works well for curtains in a scheme of warm neutrals, wood and brass, where the soft red tone brings warmth without shouting.

A small-scale geometric in muted brick tones that works neatly on an armchair or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
