About this fabric

Printed on an 88% Linen, 12% Nylon ground, this Colefax and Fowler fabric has the relaxed character of linen with a little added stability. The design shows winding ochre stems, layered green leaves and drooping clusters of white flowers set over a muted aqua base, giving the cloth a fresh but gently aged look. At approximately 135cm wide with a vertical repeat of 72cm and horizontal repeat of 135cm, it suits larger runs where the branches can sweep across the room. The colourway reads cool and soft rather than bright, so the greens and blossom stand out clearly without feeling sharp.

How to use it

Use Alderney Aqua where you want a botanical pattern to feel light and composed rather than bold. It works especially well with painted timber, weathered oak and pale neutrals that let the soft aqua ground stay luminous.

A fresh trailing print that brings a calm, refined lift to classic rooms.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alderney Aqua without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
