Chester Silver

Chester FabricF4854-04

Chester Silver shows a finely mottled animal-style pattern in a soft, silvered cream ground. The tiny mark-making gives the cloth a calm, textural look rather than a strong contrast.

About this fabric

This Chester fabric has a small-scale animal motif that reads gently across the surface, with the pale silver-beige spots sitting close to the ground for a restrained effect. The composition is 44% viscose, 36% linen, 16% polyester, 3% cotton and 1% polyacrylic, which helps explain its natural-looking texture and softly dry handle. At approximately 145cm wide with a vertical repeat of 36cm and horizontal repeat of 35cm, it is suited to carefully planned upholstery or drapery schemes. Chester Silver feels cool-toned and understated, with just enough pattern definition to add interest without dominating a room. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for reference.

How to use it

Use Chester Silver on a tailored armchair, blind or full-length curtain where its muted cream ground can lift darker woods and stone finishes. It works especially well in rooms that need pattern, but in the quietest possible tone.

A quiet, silvered neutral that works beautifully on upholstery or elegant drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
