Chester Sand

Chester FabricF4854-03

Chester Sand shows a fine, all-over leopard-style motif softened into warm sand and beige tones. The small-scale repeat gives the design a tailored look rather than a loud animal print.

About this fabric

This Chester colourway is woven in 44% viscose, 36% linen, 16% polyester, 3% cotton and 1% polyacrylic, giving the cloth a natural-looking surface with a gently dry hand. The print sits on a pale beige ground, with the spots picked out in muted oatmeal and tan so the pattern reads soft and broken rather than high contrast. At approximately 145cm wide, it is a practical upholstery-and-drapery fabric with a balanced, mid-weight feel. The repeat is approximately V 36cm and H 35cm, which supports the regular, decorative rhythm of the motif across larger pieces. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Its restrained sand tone works well with limestone, pale oak and layered neutrals, especially where you want pattern without darkening the room. Use it on an armchair, bench or cushions to add a quiet animal note that still feels polished.

A subtle leopard-style repeat in warm sand tones that feels easy to live with on upholstery or soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
