About this fabric

At 602 gsm, this is a substantial woven fabric suited to upholstery, with a 138 cm usable width and 29 threads per centimetre. Its aqua-teal ground shifts from pale, chalked turquoise to deeper marine strokes, while cream and grey fibres soften the contrast. The irregular horizontal striation gives the surface a weathered, brushed character rather than a crisp geometric pattern. A 43 cm vertical repeat allows the layered bands to flow across larger upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use Strato Aqua/Marine on a statement armchair, sofa or bench where its cool turquoise depth can sit against warm timber, pale stone and creamy neutrals. Its horizontal movement also works well on a clean-lined headboard or occasional chair, where the grey flecks temper the aqua.

Use this substantial aqua-teal weave to bring cool colour and layered horizontal texture to upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Strato Aqua/Marine without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
