Strato Indigo/Denim

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0137-06

Strato Indigo/Denim layers cool indigo and denim-blue strokes with pale grey and soft cream flecks. Its horizontal, painterly striations create a textured surface with visible tonal movement rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

At 602 gsm, this is a substantial fabric suited to upholstery, with a 138 cm usable width for practical cutting. The 43 cm vertical repeat organises the irregular horizontal bands, while the horizontal repeat is listed as 0 cm. Indigo and mid-blue threads deepen between chalky grey and cream areas, giving the cloth a cool, weathered appearance as the light catches its uneven woven surface. With 29 threads per centimetre and a standard 30 m length, Strato Indigo/Denim has a notably dense, tactile presence.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored sofa, occasional chair or headboard where the cool indigo-denim tone can anchor pale stone, grey and natural timber schemes. Its softly broken bands also work well against brushed metal and muted blue accessories.

Use this cool indigo-denim ground to bring depth to seating, balanced with pale neutrals and weathered timber.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
