Kirikai Paprika

Sgraffito II FabricHAF0618-01

Kirikai Paprika brings a warm, earthy terracotta tone to a tightly woven, finely marked textile. Its close ivory zigzag lines create a delicate chevron surface that reads as softly graphic rather than bold.

About this fabric

The paprika ground has a rich rusted warmth, with pale yarns forming closely spaced chevrons across the face of the cloth. At 450 gsm and 53 threads per centimetre, the fabric has a substantial, dense woven handle suited to upholstery. The small pattern repeats every 2 cm vertically and horizontally, giving the surface a consistent fine-scale rhythm. With a 140 cm usable width, it offers generous coverage for upholstered furniture while keeping the intricate pattern visually restrained.

How to use it

Use Kirikai Paprika on a tailored armchair, bench or sofa where its warm terracotta depth can sit alongside chalky ivory, walnut and natural timber. The fine chevron texture also works well as a structured counterpoint to plain linen cushions.

Pair the warm paprika ground with ivory, oak and natural linen for a grounded, quietly graphic upholstery scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kirikai Paprika without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
