Cotley Blue

Bampton FabricF4897-07

Cotley Blue is a quiet, slate-leaning blue with a finely speckled surface that reads soft rather than bright. The close weave gives it a calm, tailored look in this colourway.

About this fabric

This plain fabric has a tight, textural finish that softens the blue into a muted, weathered tone rather than a clean primary shade. The blend of 61% viscose, 19% cotton, 11% linen and 9% polyester gives it a natural, lightly dry hand with a subtle softness visible across the surface. With a width of approximately 139cm and no repeat, it is an easy coordinate for larger runs and straightforward making-up. The colour sits between blue and grey, so it feels composed and versatile rather than vivid or nautical.

How to use it

Use Cotley Blue on an armchair, banquette or curtains where you want a cool, restrained colour that still has presence. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalk white and brushed metal finishes.

A cool, understated blue that works neatly across seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
