Inca Ochre

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Inca Ochre has a softly weathered, abstract striƩ look, with layered bands of ochre, ivory and pale beige running across the cloth. The finish feels light-catching rather than bold, giving the design a brushed, artisan character.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied as 100% Polyester and has a 140cm width with a 31cm pattern repeat, making the horizontal layout and repeating texture easy to plan around. In this colourway, the ochre reads as a muted golden tone rather than a strong yellow, sitting gently over a creamy ivory ground. Fine vertical marks and irregular drips soften the banded pattern and give the surface a slightly distressed, hand-painted feel. It is a versatile textile from Fryett's Fabrics' Other Fabrics & Weaves collection, suited to schemes that want colour without harsh contrast.

How to use it

Use Inca Ochre to bring warmth into a neutral room, especially alongside oatmeal, linen white and pale timber. It also works well with terracotta accents or aged brass where you want the ochre notes to feel sunlit and layered.

Pair with natural wood and warm neutrals to let the ochre brushwork glow softly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
