Metaphor Oyster

Reflect Fabrics FabricHAF0183-02

Metaphor Oyster has a pale oyster-grey ground with softly clouded vertical movement running through the woven surface. Its restrained tonal contrast gives the fabric a calm, lightly weathered character rather than a sharply defined pattern.

About this fabric

The 205 gsm cloth is a versatile mid-weight, suitable for both upholstery and drapery, with a useable width of 138 cm. Fine tonal variations shift between warm oyster, pale grey and deeper mineral flecks as the light moves across the weave. The design has a 32 cm vertical repeat and 34.7 cm horizontal repeat, visible as irregular, softly broken vertical bands rather than a crisp geometric motif. With 108 threads per centimetre, the surface reads as closely woven while retaining its subtly mottled texture.

How to use it

Pair Metaphor Oyster with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed metal for a quiet contemporary scheme, or use it to soften darker taupe and charcoal furnishings. Its low-contrast vertical movement is well suited to relaxed curtains, occasional upholstery and layered cushions.

Use this softly oyster-grey colourway to bring quiet texture and gently tonal depth to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
