Nairobi Bone

Kara FabricL9333-01

Nairobi Bone is a softly luminous ivory colourway with a layered, sweeping loop motif that reads almost brushed onto the cloth. The pale ground and tonal pattern give it a calm, refined presence with a gentle sheen.

About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 30% cotton, 30% viscose, 30% linen and 10% silk, this fabric has a natural-looking body with a subtle, elegant surface lustre. The repeat is approximately V 112cm / H 49cm, which suits the broad, flowing circular motif visible across the swatch. Nairobi Bone shows as a warm bone-white rather than a stark white, with the raised brush-like design catching the light in slightly brighter ivory against a softer creamy ground. At 146cm wide, it is a versatile decorative textile that can be used for curtains, blinds and statement upholstery where a more tailored finish is desired. The overall effect is quiet and luxurious, with enough texture to add interest without introducing strong contrast.

How to use it

Use Nairobi Bone to soften a room with pale oak, chalky plaster and taupe upholstery, where its tonal surface can add depth without feeling busy. It also works well as a calm backdrop in a scheme with brass or brushed nickel details, thanks to the slight silk-led sheen.

Pairs beautifully with natural timber, pale oak and quiet metallic accents for an understated finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
