Malabo Sea Glass

Kara FabricL9272-02

Malabo Sea Glass shows the Kara design as a lively field of overlapping rings in sea-glass blue, teal, sand and ivory. The effect is airy and coastal, with the motif staying clear against the pale ground.

About this fabric

This Larsen fabric is a 124cm-wide textile with an approximate 77cm vertical repeat and 62cm horizontal repeat, making the circular pattern read as a substantial decorative statement. The composition of 44% polyester, 38% linen, 14% jute, 3% cotton and 1% polyamide gives the surface a woven, slightly tactile character that suits the crisp outline of the rings. In Malabo Sea Glass, the blues sit cool and muted rather than bright, softened by chalky ivory, warm beige and pale sage accents. The overall impression is fresh and tailored, with enough texture in the weave to keep the design from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an accent chair, banquette or occasional stool where the sea-glass blues can sit against oak, limestone or painted white finishes. It also works well in a light-filled room with sandy neutrals, where the cooler circles add pattern without making the scheme feel heavy.

Pair with pale oak and chalky neutrals to let the cool sea-glass notes and warm sand accents stay balanced.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
