Malabo Desert

Kara FabricL9272-01

Malabo Desert reads as a warm, layered beige with soft sand, oat and clay accents across its circular woven pattern. The design has a lively but grounded feel, with the texture and contrast giving the motif real depth on the cloth.

About this fabric

This Larsen Kara fabric combines 44% Polyester, 38% Linen, 14% Jute, 3% Cotton and 1% Polyamide, creating a tactile woven surface with a naturally earthy character. The repeat is large and clearly graphic, with concentric rings in cream, taupe, tan and deep brown that sit against a pale desert ground. In this colourway, the palette feels sun-baked rather than bright, so the circles read as soft-edged and warm instead of sharply contrasty. At approximately 124cm wide, it is a versatile decorative fabric for schemes that want pattern with a subdued, organic tone.

How to use it

Use it on occasional chairs, cushions or a statement headboard where the warm beige ground can lift the room without overpowering it. It also works well alongside textured neutrals, caramel timber and matte bronze accents.

Pair with plain linens and walnut woods to let the layered circular motif stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Malabo Desert without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
