About this fabric

Bayu Sea Blue from the Kandi collection by Larsen is a fabric with a large-scale abstract repeat, measuring approximately V 31cm and H 68cm on a width of about 136cm. The cloth is composed of 35% cotton, 33% viscose and 32% linen, which gives the surface a softly textured, lightly matte handle. In this colourway, the wavy vertical forms read as a muted sea blue-grey, set off by a warm off-white ground that keeps the pattern feeling open rather than heavy. The tone is cool and understated, so the design feels graphic without becoming harsh. It is a versatile textile for upholstery or drapery where a smart, relaxed finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Bayu Sea Blue with light oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metal finishes to echo its fresh, coastal mood. Its soft blue-grey pattern also sits well beside pale painted walls and simple linen textures.

A cool, airy blue that works well on relaxed upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
