Nairobi Clay shows a soft cream ground lifted by warm clay-yellow arcs with a subtle silk sheen. The large, looping brushstroke motif gives the fabric an airy, graphic rhythm.

About this fabric

This colourway of Kara is woven in a refined blend of 30% Cotton, 30% Viscose, 30% Linen and 10% Silk, giving the surface a natural matte base with a gentle lustre in the raised pattern. The design repeats in a large vertical and horizontal layout, with each sweeping oval reading in a muted clay-gold tone against the pale ground. In the swatch, the outline threads look lightly striated and textured, which adds movement without making the fabric feel busy. At approximately 146cm wide, it offers a generous cloth for drapery or upholstery applications, and the Q 8 + T 3 care code plus √BM fire code support practical specification-led selection.

How to use it

Pair this warm neutral with oak, cane and plaster tones for a calm interior, or use it to soften darker timber furniture. The clay accents bring enough warmth to sit beautifully in rooms with terracotta, taupe or pale stone finishes.

Use for tailored curtains or statement upholstery where a soft warm neutral is wanted.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
