About this fabric

This Dante Velvet colourway is made from 100% cotton and comes in an approximate width of 140cm, with no visible repeat in the plain velvet surface. The cloth reads as a warm clay beige, with enough brown warmth to feel grounded but not so much that it looks heavy. In the pile, the light catches softly rather than brightly, which gives the fabric a calm, matte-luxe character. The Q 8 < T 3 care code and √CM fire code make it suitable for considered interior use where a natural cotton velvet is preferred.

How to use it

Use Dante Clay on a sofa, armchair or bench where its muted warmth can soften sharper architectural finishes. It pairs especially well with oak, plaster, tobacco leather and off-white linens.

A soft clay-toned velvet that brings warmth without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
