About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric combines 44% viscose, 38% linen and 18% cotton in a 138cm-wide cloth with a repeat of V 11cm / H 18cm approx. The swatch shows a muted old blue ground, lifted by a fine dotted motif that gives the surface a lightly dappled, almost stitched appearance. The colour sits in a cool, softened register rather than a bright denim or navy, which keeps the design easy to place in refined schemes. Its woven texture and mid-weight feel make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery, depending on the look and application you want.

How to use it

Use Old Blue with pale oak, chalk white and brushed nickel for a crisp, restrained room. It also brings a gentle cool note to linen sofas, window seats and tailored cushions.

A quietly tailored blue that works well on smaller upholstered pieces or full-length curtains.
