Drayton Stripe Aqua

Eaton Checks and Stripes FabricF4904-02

Drayton Stripe Aqua is a light, airy stripe with a softly weathered aqua ground and slender cream lines running through it. The weave has a subtle linen-like texture that keeps the look relaxed rather than glossy.

About this fabric

Woven in 84% viscose and 16% linen, Drayton Stripe Aqua has a supple feel with enough structure for curtains, blinds and light upholstery. The stripe repeats vertically with no horizontal repeat, and the 12cm approximate repeat gives the design an orderly, tailored rhythm. In this colourway the aqua reads pale and cool, softened by a hazy wash that sits comfortably alongside the cream pinstripes. The overall effect is fresh but restrained, with the texture catching the light in a gentle, matte way rather than a sharp sheen.

How to use it

Use this stripe to bring a quiet coastal note to rooms with bleached oak, painted panelling or ivory upholstery. Its cool aqua tone also works well as a smart counterpoint to brass accents and pale greys.

A fresh aqua stripe that works beautifully with pale woods, chalky neutrals and crisp white trim.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Drayton Stripe Aqua without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
