Hopper Paprika

Hopper FabricJ0239-41

Hopper Paprika is a vivid warm orange-red with a dry, softly flecked woven surface. The colour reads like sun-baked paprika, giving the plain cloth real depth without any printed pattern.

About this fabric

This Hopper fabric from Jane Churchill is composed of 46% cotton, 41% polyester and 13% linen, with a width of approximately 140cm and a straight repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm. The cloth has a lightly textured, linen-rich look, with fine vertical slubbing and a matte finish that softens the intensity of the shade. Paprika is the right name for this colourway: it is earthy and spiced rather than bright orange, with a warm red undertone that feels energetic but still grounded. Its Q 8 + W 3 care code and K fire code make it a practical decorative textile for everyday interiors.

How to use it

Use this colourway to warm up neutral upholstery, or pair it with pale oak, chalky plaster and natural fibres so the paprika tone can stand out. It also works well in relaxed drapery where the fabric's warm terracotta cast can add depth without feeling heavy.

A lively paprika tone that brings warmth to both upholstery and relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
