Shimla Blue/Multi

Gloriana FabricJ0253-02

Shimla Blue/Multi brings together cool blue stripes with lively multicoloured woven motifs on a softly textured ground. The overall effect is bright but relaxed, with the blue reading as fresh rather than deep.

About this fabric

This colourway of Gloriana combines 61% linen, 26% viscose, 8% cotton and 5% polyester in a 128cm approximate width, with a vertical repeat of 39cm and horizontal repeat of 128cm approx. The fabric shows crisp blue banding, small red and gold accents, and softer aqua and yellow motif stripes, all sitting on a pale natural ground that keeps the design airy. The woven texture gives the pattern a tactile, slightly artisanal feel, while the √BM fire code adds reassurance for domestic use. Its mid-weight construction and the blend of linen and viscose make it versatile for both upholstered pieces and decorative soft furnishings.

How to use it

Use this fabric on a feature chair, ottoman or roman blind where the blue motifs can be seen clearly. Pair it with chalky white, sand or light oak to let the multicolour stripes stay bright and balanced.

Layer with warm neutrals to balance the lively woven stripes and motifs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
