Tambora Red/Green

Gloriana FabricJ0285-01

Tambora Red/Green has an ivory ground lifted by painterly birds, flowers and scrolling foliage in red, green, aqua and soft peach. The effect is bright and decorative, with a cheerful rhythm that still feels refined.

About this fabric

This fabric is from the Gloriana collection by Jane Churchill and is woven in a 60% Linen, 30% Cotton, 10% Polyamide composition, with a width of approximately 142cm and a repeat of V 65cm / H 142cm approx. The design shows a large-scale scenic motif with birds, curling leaves and stylised flowers, all outlined in a fresh palette that mixes coral red, leaf green, aqua and warm yellow against a pale ivory ground. In this colourway the reds read crisp rather than heavy, while the greens and blue-greens keep the surface feeling airy and bright. The linen-rich cloth and decorative scale make it suitable for statement curtains as well as occasional upholstery projects where you want pattern to take centre stage.

How to use it

Use it to bring life to a neutral room, especially with painted woodwork, pale oak and simple plain fabrics. The ivory ground and fresh red-green palette work well in sunny sitting rooms, guest bedrooms or a spirited occasional chair.

A lively embroidered-look design that brings colour and movement to relaxed country or eclectic interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
