Melsetter Indigo sets a dense woodland composition against a deep blue-green ground. Cream branches and foliage catch the eye first, while coral-pink flowers and warm ochre details add points of light.

About this fabric

This 265 gsm fabric has a closely specified construction of 35.6 threads per cm and a usable width of 139 cm. Its cool, saturated indigo-teal background gives the flowering trees, curling leaves and small woodland details considerable depth, while the cream elements create a crisp contrast. Coral and blush blooms soften the darker ground, and the ochre-tan accents bring a warm, hand-drawn quality to the repeat. The pattern measures 98.5 cm vertically by 69 cm horizontally, making the large-scale composition especially visible across generous upholstery panels or drapery.

How to use it

Use Melsetter Indigo to bring a cool, atmospheric focal point to a reading room, library or bedroom, pairing its deep teal ground with natural timber, warm ivory and muted coral accents. Its 139 cm usable width also makes it practical for coordinated curtains and upholstered seating.

A richly detailed woodland design whose deep blue-green ground suits both tailored upholstery and full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
