About this fabric

The red background reads as a deep brick-crimson shade, while the cream foliage and floral heads bring a soft, aged contrast rather than a stark white accent. Large curling stems move through repeated flower bouquets, with fine leaves and smaller blossoms filling the spaces between them. Weighing 265 gsm with 35.6 threads per centimetre, this 140 cm usable-width fabric has a substantial mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. The pattern repeats over 106 cm vertically and 70.5 cm horizontally, so its large-scale botanical arrangement should be considered when matching lengths.

How to use it

Use the warm brick-red ground to bring depth to a reading room, dining space or heritage-inspired sitting room, balancing it with cream, walnut wood and understated plain textures. The cream botanical detail also allows the colourway to sit comfortably with muted olive, ochre or aged brass accents.

Pair the warm red ground and cream foliage with timber, antique finishes or quieter plain upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Trent Red House without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
