May’s Coverlet Indigo/Rose combines a warm cream ground with a cool, deep indigo lattice and small rose-red and olive botanical details. The repeating floral cartouches give the cloth a richly patterned, ordered appearance.

About this fabric

The cream ground is crossed by dark indigo, cord-like loops forming rounded diamond cartouches, each containing stylised flowers and leafy sprigs. Rose-red blooms bring a muted warm accent, while olive foliage and small yellow details soften the stronger indigo lines. At 750 gsm, the cloth has the substantial weight suited to upholstery, with 34 threads per cm indicating a dense construction. Its 39.2 cm vertical repeat and 24.5 cm horizontal repeat create a clearly defined pattern across the 127 cm usable width.

How to use it

Use this cool cream, indigo and rose colourway on a statement armchair, dining seat or traditional sofa, balancing its patterned depth with plain linen, oak and muted blue-grey textiles.

Pair the cool indigo lattice with natural timber and warm neutrals, using the rose accents to introduce measured colour.
