About this fabric

Woven in 54% viscose and 46% polyester, this velvet has the substance and resilience to suit severe contract upholstery, with a Martindale rating of 100,000 and a usable width of 138cm. The interlocking circular motif is rendered in a rich claret shade that feels warm, saturated and slightly burnished against the lighter base cloth. Its velvet surface adds a directional lustre, so the pattern shifts subtly as it moves across the light. It is also treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, making it a practical choice for specified interiors as well as decorative applications.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or headboard to let the claret pattern become the focal point of a room. It works especially well with warm neutrals, dark timber and aged brass, where the red velvet feels elegant rather than overly bright.
