About this fabric

Infinity Velvets Orbit Claret Wavy is a velvet from iliv's Infinity collection, woven in 54% viscose and 46% polyester for a plush, luminous handle. The design has a large 18cm horizontal and 17cm vertical repeat, creating the bold interlocking loops visible across the surface. In this colourway the pattern reads as deep claret red with a warm, wine-like intensity against a soft ivory base, giving the fabric strong contrast and a very tactile feel. With a usable width of 138cm, a 100,000 Martindale rub test and Severe Contract upholstery grade, it is suited to demanding upholstery as well as treated FR drapery.

How to use it

Use this claret velvet as a focal point on an occasional chair, banquette or cushions where the pattern can be seen up close. It also works beautifully as statement curtains against pale walls, letting the red pile add warmth and depth to the room.

A statement velvet that adds rich colour and sculptural movement to both drapes and upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Infinity Velvets Orbit Claret Wavy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
