About this fabric

This iliv velvet is made from 54% viscose and 46% polyester, with a usable width of 138cm and a very hard-wearing 100,000 Martindale rating. The design shows a compact abstract pattern in claret red over a pale cream base, creating strong contrast and a slightly weathered, textured look. Its small-scale repeat of 18cm horizontal and 17cm vertical keeps the motif tight and lively across larger pieces. With severe contract upholstery grade and treatable FR suitability for drapery and upholstery, it is well placed for demanding interior schemes where colour depth matters.

How to use it

The warm claret tone works especially well on statement chairs, banquettes and upholstered headboards, where the short velvet pile can catch the light and lift the pattern. Pair it with oak, walnut, tobacco leather or plaster-white walls to balance the richness.

Use with warm neutrals and dark woods to let the claret pile read rich rather than heavy.
