About this colour

This shade reads as a muted gold-brown with a clear yellow undertone, so it feels warm rather than earthy or green. In a north-facing room it will look deeper and more subdued, with the bronze side becoming more noticeable, while south light brings out the golden clarity and softens the brown notes. It does not throw much light back, so it holds a room together rather than brightening it. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it works well beside walnut, oak, dark bronze metalwork and fabrics in tobacco, moss, russet or deep navy.

How to use it

Tiger's Eye suits studies, dining rooms and hallways where a richer wall colour can anchor the space. It sits particularly well with polished timber, upholstered seating in velvet or wool, and trims in off-white, dark brown or muted green.

On a wall, Tiger's Eye is a warm ochre gold that reads deeper in north light and richer in south light.
