About this colour

This colour reads as a warm, muted beige with a slightly powdery stone note, and the #DFD8C6 value keeps it light without turning sharp. On a wall it reflects a fair amount of light, so it can open up a room while still feeling calm and settled. In north-facing light it will look a touch more muted and cooler, with the beige side softening back. In south-facing rooms it takes on a clearer warmth and can appear creamier beside oak, walnut, linen whites and deeper Zoffany greens or browns. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt, it stays elegant and restrained rather than bright.

How to use it

Half Pebble suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want a pale backdrop for patterned curtains, woven blinds or upholstered seating in natural tones. It works well with painted woodwork in off-white or with timber trims, and sits comfortably beside stone-coloured, taupe and olive fabrics.
