Morning Mist

2026 Paint PaintZOP1084-35

Morning Mist is a soft, cool lilac-grey with a calm, pale presence. It sits within Zoffany’s 2026 Paint range and reads as a gentle veil of colour rather than a full-bodied grey.

About this colour

This shade has a quiet lavender undertone, so it feels more composed than a plain grey and less pink than a blush. On a wall, #D7D0D8 lifts the room without becoming bright, holding light in a muted way that keeps the colour airy. In north-facing light it can look a little cooler and more silvered, while south-facing rooms bring out the lilac note and make it feel slightly warmer. It works well beside pale oak, walnut, painted white joinery and muted upholstery colours such as stone, heather and soft mushroom. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it keeps the same restrained character across walls and woodwork.

How to use it

Use Morning Mist in a bedroom, sitting room or dressing room where a calm, tailored colour is wanted on the walls or joinery. It pairs neatly with natural woodwork, chalky whites and upholstered pieces in grey, mauve or pale taupe.

On a wall, Morning Mist reads as a pale lilac-grey with a cool, settled feel.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.

Pairs well with

Morning Mist is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
