Cala blue

European Summer Fabriccala/fa1/cob

Cala Blue shows a loose scattering of painterly leaves in cool watercolour blues across a pale ground. The effect is airy and fresh, with the motif reading light and fluid rather than dense.

About this fabric

This 100% cotton fabric is 140cm wide and has a 27.4cm horizontal and vertical pattern repeat, which suits the open, trailing rhythm of the design. The leaf forms are painted in layered blue tones, from misty aqua to deeper denim, with the palest petals seeming to almost float on the background. The fine cotton surface keeps the print looking crisp and clean, while the overall palette stays cool and softly diffused. It is a dry-clean-only fabric with Iron Safe care, and no bleach, fabric softener, or tumble drying should be used.

How to use it

Use Cala Blue on relaxed curtains, cushions, or statement seating where the cool blue palette can sit against white walls or pale timber. Its light, watery tone works especially well in rooms that need pattern without visual weight.

Pair with pale linens and natural woods to keep the airy blue leaf pattern feeling fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
