Helaine blue

Florabunda Fabrichelaine/fao/aqu

Helaine Blue shows a delicate botanical trail scattered across a warm, natural ground, with each slender stem and leaf rendered in soft aqua and muted teal. The overall effect is calm and airy, with just enough pattern to give the fabric movement without feeling busy.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has the easy handle of a mid-weight textile that works well for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The usable width is 138cm, with a 27.6cm horizontal repeat and 22.6cm vertical repeat, so the vertical sprigs settle into a regular, balanced rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway, the leaves read as fresh blue-green rather than bright turquoise, sitting lightly against the pale flax-toned ground. The fine printed detail and soft matt finish keep the look relaxed and natural rather than formal.

How to use it

Use it in a bright sitting room or bedroom where the soft aqua pattern can lift white or dove-grey walls. It also sits beautifully with rattan, weathered oak and other gentle coastal-inspired finishes.

Pairs neatly with pale timber, crisp white and natural linens for a fresh, easy scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
