Helaine grey

Florabunda Fabrichelaine/fao/gol

Helaine Grey presents a calm stone-grey ground scattered with small botanical stems in buttery yellow and touches of green. The design feels airy and understated, with the pattern standing out gently rather than sharply.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still keeping a supple, textile feel. The usable width is 138cm, with a 27.6cm horizontal repeat and 22.6cm vertical repeat, so the trailing sprigs settle into a neat, regular rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway the grey background reads cool and mellow, like a softly weathered stone, which makes the yellow leaves look fresh rather than bright. Dry clean only care and a cool iron finish suit the natural cotton-linen handle.

How to use it

Use Helaine Grey in relaxed curtains or Roman blinds where the muted ground can soften daylight. It works especially well with oak, chalky paint colours and pale green accents, letting the yellow motif add warmth without overwhelming the room.

Pair with pale woods and muted linens to let the yellow stems bring a gentle lift.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
