About this fabric

Woven in 54% polyester, 32% viscose and 14% linen, this Hawley colourway has the grounded handle and texture you can see in the close-up image. At 358gsm and with a Martindale rating of 50,000, it is well suited to upholstery as well as curtains and blinds. The shade is a cool, light grey with a subtle warm undertone, softened by the slubby weave rather than looking flat or industrial. There is no repeat to manage, so the fabric will sit cleanly on simple furniture forms and tailored soft furnishings. Dry clean only and iron safe, it offers an easy, practical finish for a polished neutral scheme.

How to use it

Use Hawley Grey for an upholstered armchair, ottoman or Roman blind where its quiet texture can soften sharper architectural lines. It pairs especially well with chalk white, pale oak and deeper charcoal accents for a restrained, layered room.

A versatile neutral that works across upholstery and curtains with a quietly refined finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
