Ophelia blue

Florabunda Fabricophelia/fao/bbl

Ophelia Blue has a soft blue-grey ground scattered with slender dark stems and tiny leaf-like blooms in blue, lilac and violet. The embroidered effect feels light and airy, with the motif drifting gently across the cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still reading as a versatile mid-weight textile. The 138cm usable width and 23cm horizontal by 25cm vertical repeat make it practical for patterned interiors. In this colourway, the pale blue-grey background keeps the floral sprigs cool and calm, while the little petals catch the light in turquoise and lavender tones. Dry clean only care and a cool iron finish suit a decorative fabric that is designed to stay crisp and neat.

How to use it

Use Ophelia Blue for full-length curtains or Roman blinds where its cool ground can soften daylight without feeling heavy. It works especially well with white paint, brushed oak and quiet violet accents.

Pair with pale timber and chalky neutrals to let the blue-violet embroidery glow.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
