Hibbertia blue

Hibbertiameadows Fabrichibbert/fa1/clo

Hibbertia Blue is a loose watercolour floral with pale aqua petals, muted sage stems and soft peach accents on a warm ivory ground. The washed finish keeps the design airy rather than heavy, giving the pattern a calm, painterly look.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a soft mid-weight handle at 230gsm, making it well suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The usable width is 136cm, with a generous 68cm horizontal repeat and 67.8cm vertical repeat that allows the larger floral forms to open out clearly across a drop. In this Hibbertia Blue colourway, the palette stays cool and fresh: pale aqua blooms, grey-green foliage and touches of peach and navy sit on an understated cream ground. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

Use Hibbertia Blue for relaxed curtains in a room with pale timber, chalky walls or botanical artwork, where the cool aqua and sage tones can stay light and breathable. It also works well for Roman blinds or scatter cushions when you want the floral to read soft rather than bold.

A gentle, watercolour floral that suits airy curtains and soft layered interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hibbertia blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
