Hibbertia green

Hibbertiameadows Fabrichibbert/fa1/sag

Hibbertia Green has a washed sage background scattered with painterly meadow flowers in lilac, cream, blush and smoky charcoal. The overall effect is soft, airy and gently artistic, with the ground colour keeping the pattern calm rather than bright.

About this fabric

This fabric is woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, giving the surface a natural, slightly textural look that suits its hand-painted floral motif. At 230gsm and 136cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight textile designed for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The green ground reads as a muted sage with a cool, dusty cast, while the flowers bring in washed lilac, pale ivory, mushroom and touches of ochre and charcoal. The 68cm horizontal and 67.8cm vertical repeat allows the meadow-style pattern to feel generous and evenly spaced across a room.

How to use it

Use it where you want colour without intensity: the sage ground works beautifully with pale oak, chalky whites and weathered wood. It is especially effective in relaxed bedrooms, sitting rooms and garden-facing spaces where the soft floral palette can feel fresh and restful.

A painterly sage ground with softly muted blooms suits calm, layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
