About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has the relaxed, natural handle you would expect from a mid-weight cloth at 230gsm. The design reads as a soft-watercolour garden, with slender stems, leafy sprays and rounded flower heads picked out in blue, teal, sage and lilac over a light ground. Its 140cm useable width and 46.5cm by 82.5cm pattern repeat make it well suited to statement curtains or lined blinds, where the tall floral motif can be shown to best effect. Dry clean only and iron safe, it is a practical decorative fabric for soft furnishings with a calm, cool-toned finish.

How to use it

Use Carneum Blue for full-length curtains in a pale room to bring gentle colour without heaviness. It works especially well with whitewashed woods, muted greys and brushed metal accents that echo its cool, botanical palette.

Pairs beautifully with pale timber, brushed brass and soft white paint for a fresh, layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
