Azolla grey

Edenmuir Fabricazolla/fa1/cin

Azolla Grey has a soft pearl-grey ground brushed with painterly leaf fronds in muted pastel tones. The design feels airy and layered, with the delicate white linework and watercolour washes keeping the overall look light.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still reading as a graceful, mid-weight textile. The visible ground is a cool, pale grey that gives the botanical motif a calm backdrop, while the leaf stems carry watery touches of mint, blush, mauve, teal and soft gold. Because the palette is misty rather than bold, the repeated fern-like pattern feels fresh and understated rather than busy. The 70cm horizontal repeat and 58.5cm vertical repeat suit a design-led interior where the print can be appreciated across larger spans.

How to use it

Use Azolla Grey to soften a contemporary room with light oak, chalky paintwork and brushed metal details. Its cool grey base and diluted colour accents work especially well where you want pattern without heavy contrast.

A pale grey ground lets the watercolour leaves add gentle colour without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
