Rosa blue

Diffusion Fabricrosa/fa1/blu

Rosa Blue brings a washed, painterly effect to the Diffusion collection, with clouded blues, pale aqua and fresh green shapes floating across a light ground. The overall look is airy and expressive rather than sharply defined.

About this fabric

This fabric is woven in a 95% cotton, 5% linen blend and has a medium 230 gsm weight, giving it enough body for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings without feeling heavy. The design reads as loose brushwork in soft denim blue, periwinkle, sage and acid-leaning green, with plenty of white space to keep the surface bright. Its 70cm horizontal and vertical pattern repeat supports the large, sweeping motif and the painterly edges visible in the swatch. The cool iron and dry-clean-only care suit a decorative interior fabric intended for gentle use rather than hardwearing upholstery.

How to use it

The cool blue-green palette works well in rooms with pale oak, whitewashed finishes or crisp white walls, where the fabric’s soft washes can lift the scheme. Use it for curtains or Roman blinds to bring movement and colour without losing a light, tranquil feel.

Use it for airy drapes or statement cushions where the painterly colours can breathe.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
