About this fabric

This colourway of Orton in the Diffusion collection is a substantial 550gsm fabric, with a composition of 45% viscose, 25% polyester, 20% cotton and 10% linen. The surface shows a dense, textured weave in muted olive green and cool grey, broken up by pale, pebble-like white marks that give the pattern its drifted, organic feel. At 140cm wide with a 17.5cm horizontal repeat and 21.5cm vertical repeat, it is well suited to curtains, blinds and upholstery. The overall effect is calm and earthy rather than bright, with the green sitting back beneath the lighter flecks for a refined, lived-in finish. Dry clean only; iron safe.

How to use it

Use Orton Green on an armchair, ottoman or relaxed curtains where its olive-grey tone can sit against oak, linen and stone. It also works well in rooms that need pattern without strong contrast, since the pale spotting keeps the design light.

Pair with warm neutrals and natural woods to let the subtle olive ground and textured pattern feel tailored rather than busy.
