William Morris Weaves FabricCCF0788-04

Strawberry Thief Embroidery Teal combines a warm cream ground with cool teal foliage, birds and scrolling floral detail. The pale base keeps the intricate repeat light, while deeper turquoise accents give the pattern definition.

About this fabric

The design is built from repeating birds, leafy sprigs and floral medallion-like arrangements in teal, muted blue-green, soft olive and small touches of warm beige across the cream ground. Its embroidered, textured appearance gives the surface more visual depth than a flat plain, with the teal details reading clearly without becoming harsh. At 343gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstered applications rather than a fine, fluid cloth. The 130cm usable width and 35m standard length support larger upholstery projects, while the 32.5cm vertical by 26cm horizontal repeat allows the motifs to be carefully positioned.

How to use it

Pair the cool teal and cream palette with natural wood, warm neutral upholstery companions and aged brass accents. On a chair, headboard or occasional sofa, the medium-scale repeat can act as the room’s principal patterned textile without overwhelming the pale ground.

Use this softly coloured teal-and-cream design to bring detailed pattern and a composed, traditional feel to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Strawberry Thief Embroidery Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
