About this fabric

Woven from 70% cotton and 30% linen, Loire Linen has the relaxed character you would expect from a natural fibre blend, while its 18,000 rub test makes it suitable for light domestic upholstery as well as drapes and blinds. The swatch shows a quiet cream shade with a subtle warm cast, broken by fine slubbed threads and a soft crosswise weave that catches the light without looking shiny. At 142cm wide and 340gsm, it sits in a practical mid-weight range that will hang neatly yet still feel substantial enough for occasional seating. Made in India, this plain design is an easy choice when you want texture and warmth rather than pattern.

How to use it

Use this colourway to soften painted walls, pale oak and stone, where its warm cream tone adds comfort without competing with the room. It works especially well in relaxed schemes that need a natural, linen-led finish.

A calm neutral that brings an easy, natural warmth to both upholstery and soft window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
