About this fabric
This plain Alvar 2 fabric has a quiet, fine-grained texture rather than a printed motif, with layered grey tones that give the slate shade gentle depth. At 300gsm, it has a versatile mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 144cm usable width supports practical making, while the 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats allow straightforward cutting with no pattern matching. A standard length of 35m is supplied.
How to use it
Pair Alvar Slate with pale timber, chalky whites and brushed metal for a cool, contemporary room, or use it to temper stronger blue and charcoal accents. Its muted slate tone works particularly well on softly tailored seating and full-length curtains.
Use this cool slate grey as a calm, textured neutral on upholstery, curtains or blinds.
