About this fabric

The restrained chalk and linen palette reads soft, warm-neutral and lightly dimensional rather than stark white, with the tonal contrast allowing the pattern to emerge gradually. Its repeating paired-leaf motif has a 20 cm vertical repeat and 33 cm horizontal repeat, creating an ordered medium-scale rhythm across the cloth. At 385 gsm and 34 threads per centimetre, the fabric has a substantial, closely made appearance that suits both upholstery and drapery. The 130 cm useable width provides practical coverage for made-to-measure furnishing applications.

How to use it

Use Caprice Chalk/Linen on a window seat, occasional chair or full-length curtains where its pale chalk ground can soften stronger timber and painted finishes. Pair it with warm ivory, natural linen and quiet taupe to retain the colourway’s gentle tonal depth.

A softly tonal chalk-and-linen design with enough visual structure for upholstery and drapery alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
