About this fabric

This substantial 588gsm fabric has a closely packed woven construction, making it well suited to upholstery rather than light, fluid drapery. Fine horizontal and vertical threads create a restrained textured effect, with occasional pale flecks lifting the charcoal ground without forming a bold motif. It has a useable width of 138cm and a standard length of 30m. The vertical pattern repeat is just 1.3cm, while the horizontal repeat is 0cm, so the surface reads as a continuous small-scale texture.

How to use it

Pair Avani Charcoal with pale oak, brushed metal or warm stone to balance its cool depth, or use it on a statement chair where the tightly woven texture can be appreciated up close. Its near-black grey tone also gives brighter cushions and patterned accents a crisp, grounded backdrop.

Use this dense charcoal weave to bring depth and a quietly tailored finish to sofas, armchairs and occasional upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
