Metsa FabricSCF0054-01

Metsa Steel is a cool, pale steel-grey fabric with a finely drawn geometric surface. Its close, repeating texture gives the colour a softly mottled depth rather than a flat solid appearance.

About this fabric

The small interlocking motif is picked out in grey and lighter threads, creating a neat, almost pebble-like rhythm across the cloth. Its 4cm vertical and 3cm horizontal repeats keep the pattern understated at upholstery scale. At 436gsm with 51 threads per centimetre, the fabric has a substantial, closely made feel suited to upholstered furniture. It is supplied in a 141cm usable width and a standard 35m length.

How to use it

Use Metsa Steel on a contemporary sofa, dining chair or headboard where its cool grey tone can temper warmer timber and leather. The tiny geometric texture also works well alongside plain fabrics in charcoal, chalk or muted blue-grey.

A densely textured steel-grey upholstery fabric that brings subtle pattern and cool definition to seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
