Pajaro Steel

Pajaro Steel pairs a pale steel-grey ground with tightly ordered ivory, bird-like forms. The cool, low-contrast palette gives the repeating design a light, graphic presence.

About this fabric

The fabric shows rows of small ivory abstract motifs, each formed from gently curved, pointed shapes with fine grey interruptions across the surface. Its pale steel-grey ground reads cool and softly muted rather than dark or metallic, while the ivory pattern catches the light cleanly against it. With a 16cm vertical repeat and 11.5cm horizontal repeat, the design has a compact, regular rhythm. The 139cm usable width and 220gsm weight make this a versatile mid-weight fabric for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Pajaro Steel on a relaxed armchair, blind or pair of curtains where its cool grey-and-ivory contrast can sit alongside chalky whites, pale timber and muted blue-grey accents.

Use this cool pale grey-and-ivory pattern to bring quiet graphic interest to upholstery, cushions or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pajaro Steel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
