Moqui Indigo

Nuevo Fabrics FabricSCF0059-02

Moqui Indigo pairs a cool, muted indigo-blue ground with irregular cream channels that divide the surface into angular, block-like shapes. The close-up reveals a fine woven texture beneath the bold graphic pattern.

About this fabric

The geometric design is formed from uneven blue quadrilaterals and clipped, pointed shapes, with cream lines creating a lively broken grid between them. Its indigo tone is softer and more weathered than a bright navy, while the cream remains warm and clear against the cooler ground. At 220gsm, with 24 threads per centimetre, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suitable for upholstery and drapery. It has a 139cm usable width and a 34cm vertical by 35cm horizontal repeat, giving the pattern a consistent but not overly tight rhythm.

How to use it

Use Moqui Indigo on a statement chair, bench or relaxed Roman blind where its cool blue depth can be balanced with ivory, pale timber and warm neutral upholstery. The cream pattern lines also make it easy to coordinate with plain cushions in natural linen or soft stone shades.

Use the cool indigo ground with warm cream accents to bring crisp graphic contrast to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Moqui Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
